Marc Jacobs’s wonderfully linear notion of stripes and the sixties included graphic black-and-white clothes, streamlined silhouettes, and high hair. He was the first this season to introduce the idea of a longer skirt with flatter shoes for evening, a look that continued through London, Milan, and Paris.
